The Story Behind Apprentice Studio

I guess there are many inspirations that led me to the name APPRENTICE STUDIO. 

I have been fascinated with textiles, art, design, and history ever since I was a child. The role of an apprentice, to learn a craft through mentorship, is one that is rich with history and tradition. I liked the concept of immersing myself in a chosen field of study, and working alongside someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience. It intrigued me as a way of life. When I started my business, I thought about the specific moments that had led me here, and found that I had unwittingly been an apprentice all along! I spent the majority of my teenage years working in a local yarn shop, helping my mother open and run a retail shop, and interning for a photographer, constantly learning along the way. I decided that I would try to continue that thread throughout my life. To stay forever curious, to use my business as a place for creativity and growth, and to always be open to acquiring new skills from friends near and far. So there you have it!

Those are the roots of APPRENTICE STUDIO.
