Fall/Winter 2021 - My First Collection as a Shop Owner

Well, this collection has been in my mind for a long time and the day is finally here. The Apprentice Studio Fall/Winter 2021 collection is my first as a shop owner, and it has been a goal of mine for I don’t even know how long. I always wanted to design simple pieces that were made with integrity, easy to wear, and that I would be proud to sell in my own store someday. I joke a lot about how my shop will end up being just a “sweater store” but honestly, is that so bad?! Everybody loves the comforting feel of a favorite sweater.

I truly enjoy designing and making knitwear that has something special about it, something that makes it unique; whether it be fiber content, design, or just the perfect pullover that you never want to take off. Now that I have my own shop I get to put my expertise to use and source beautiful knitwear from other brands as well. Since I have been knitting my whole life and now design knitwear I think it’s safe to say I never tire of discovering an amazing sweater, creating the perfect yarn combination to work with, or the design process in general. Being able to share my love of knitwear with you in my own shop just makes it more fun. The Apprentice Studio Fall/Winter 2021 collection has two main sweaters: the Library Sweater which is a pullover made with a wool, mohair, & silk fiber combination that is just so comforting to wear, and the Linden Cardigan which is the perfect, cozy, around the house or throw it on for a night out piece. Made with the finest Japanese silk mohair blend, it feels like nothing to wear but still keeps you warm. I have every intention of continuing to design, make, and seek out these special sweaters and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. This is just the first drop of the Apprentice Studio Fall/Winter 2021 collection and there is more to come….
